Bet on the Indians

The sports fans and bettors across the Hoosier State will have to wait for September to place their first bets. The new law will allow online sports betting for all citizens who are at least 21 years old. They will be able to wager on collegiate and professional sports.

Therefore, it is the right time to see how to bet on the Indians and which operators will provide Indians odds.

Cleveland Indians Players to Watch in 2019

The Cleveland Indians preseason went well, and they looked ready to kick-start the regular season. However, the Indians had some serious injury problems that seriously slowed them down.

First, Mike Clevinger suffered a back injury and missed a bunch of games. As well as Clevinger, another starting pitcher Corey Kluber was shut down with a forearm injury. Finally, Carlos Carrasco was sidelined due to a blood condition.

As a result of all these injuries, Cleveland failed to perform at the highest level, making the Indians betting pretty tricky. We’ll take a closer look at top Indians players at the moment to help you bet on the Indians during the 2019 season.

Shane Bieber

In 13 starts and one relief appearance this season, Shane Bieber recorded five wins and two losses with a 4.07 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. The right-hander stroke out 96 and allowed 68 hits and 35 earned runs in 77.1 innings of work.

Although Bieber is playing his second season in the Major League Baseball, he’s become a backbone of this Indians team. Cleveland is 9-5 in Bieber’s 14 outings this term. Also, Bieber defeated some tough rivals such as the Red Sox, the Rays, and the Twins.

With all injury problems among their pitching staff, the Indians have to rely a lot on Bieber. In spite of his inexperience, Shane is playing above all expectations. If you bet on the Indians, take games with Shane Bieber on the mound.

Jake Bauers

As well as Shane Bieber left fielder Jake Bauers is another sophomore who’s set to shine in 2019. Bauers arrived from Tampa Bay where he played 96 games last season to record 11 home runs, 48 RBIs, a .201 batting average, and a .316 on-base percentage.

The left-hander appeared in 62 games for the Indians this season. To illustrate Jake’s solid form, here are some numbers. Bauers already has seven home runs along with 22 RBIs, a .208 batting average, and a .295 on-base percentage.

If he continues to improve, Bauers will become a really important player for the Indians.

However, Bauers is still a young and inexperienced player, so the Indians will have to be patient with him.

Greg Allen

After a breakthrough sophomore season, the Indians thought their central fielder Greg Allen will be a star. Nevertheless, Allen couldn’t cope with the pressure, and he’s a huge disappointment this year.

In 2018, Allen posted 68 hits, 20 RBIs, a .257 batting average, and a .310 on-base percentage. On the other hand, Allen has 11 hits, ten RBIs, a poor .169 batting average, and a .225 on-base percentage this season.

Greg was exceptional in spring training, tallying a .354 batting average and a .404 on-base percentage. He has to break out of his slump as soon as possible to help the Indians stay in the playoff race.

Jason Kipnis

Although he started the season on the injury list, Jason Kipnis played 47 games so far. The left-hander had plenty of injury problems over the last two years and is far away from his best form.

Kipnis recorded just a couple of home runs this term along with 15 RBIs, a .218 batting average, and a .272 on-base percentage. Before his injury problems, Kipnis performed at the All-Star level in 2015 and 2016. The Indians’ fans hope Kipnis could find his mojo once again.

Roberto Perez

The 30-year-old catcher Roberto Perez was one of the key players for the Indians at the defensive end in the last three years. On the other hand, Perez struggled offensively last season, but he’s doing a much better job this term.

In his 47 outings in 2019, Perez recorded career-high 11 homers along with 25 RBIs, a .225 batting average, and a .329 on-base percentage. Roberto needs to continue with his strong performance that will help his team and those who will bet on the Indians.

Indians Game 1 Predictions

The Cleveland Indians started the season with a three-game series at their divisional foes Minnesota Twins. The Indians lost the opening contest 2-0 with Corey Kluber on the mound.

Cleveland was listed as a +110 underdog with the total at 7.5 runs. Thus, the Twins satisfied the odds, and the clash was finished in the under. The bookies expected to see a low-scoring affair, and it was a tight battle with only six hits in the total.

Hereof, the bettors who invested on the under on team hits totals and run totals were certainly pleased with the outcome.
